We are excited to announce that Assistant Prof. Arian Lundberg has received a six-year starting grant of 17 MSEK (approximately $1.6M) from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (2024-2030). This grant aims to advance Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS) hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Our research will focus on the intra-tumoral microbiome and its role in the progression of genitourinary (GU) cancers. By utilizing a multi-omics approach, we aim to understand the microbiome's impact on cancer progression and its clinical relevance for patients. Our aim is to develop a machine-learning AI model for predicting prognosis at a pan-cancer level, with an emphasis on precision medicine.
