We are pleased to a fully funded PhD position in experimental and data-driven cancer research as part of the KAW-DDLS Fellowship program. This positions is intended for motivated students with:

A second cycle degree (for example a master's degree) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields

In order to succeed as a doctoral student at KTH you need to be goal oriented and persevering in your work. During the selection process, candidates will be assessed upon their ability to:

independently pursue their work
collaborate with others
have a professional approach and
analyze and work with complex issues.
Additional qualifications include:
Research background in cancer biology
Prior experience with lab techniques such (e.g. cell culture, cellular imaging, Western blotting, qPCR, and lentiviral overexpression or silencing)
Experience working with cell lines, organoids, or zebrafish
Three references are required, including at least one from your current/previous supervisor.

Additional valuable skills:

Able to synthesize scientific literature
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
A strong publication record in relevant fields
Proficiency in programming (e.g., R, Python, Bash)
Effective communication in English is required for daily work.

After the qualification requirements, great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
